First Card

So today I tried out my clear stamps. I kind of messed up..oh well..just testing to see how it looks. I used the Heidi Grace Christmas Stamp, Sahara Sand cardstock from Stampin' Up! and the ink color was Moss Green from Colorbox. I just wanted to try something simple at first so I cut up the cardstock to make a 3 x 3 card. I didn't really cut it up I used my paper cutter of course (Fiskars Portable Trimmer). Using scissors will make it look weird probably. I bought always a year ago, still working pretty good.

I tried cleaning my stamp with the Stazon All-Purpose Cleaner and it turned my clear stamp kinda yellowish. Is that normal? Is it was the ink I used? Or is it that I didn't clean it well enough. Yeah I'm pretty sure I didn't clean it well enough. Everytime I watch a YouTube of someone stamping cards, their clear stamps still looks clear to me. LOL.

LOL you can really tell which one I used. Three of them are like yellowish. Am I not cleaning it well. Now I'm like kind of scared to stamp something else.

To Be or Not To Be a Demonstrator

I've been looking into becoming a demonstrator for awhile for Stampin' Up! and/or Close to My Heart since last year..But forgot about it for several months. Now that I'm starting a new hobby with stamping/cardmaking and don't if I should just jump start becoming a demonstrator. Maybe I should just wait a little bit longer or something. LOL I know myself, I know I'm going to change my mind and just do it. (Going to make my husband pay for it kit, birthday is coming up next month anyways LOL)

If I do, I don't know which to choose Stampin' Up! or Close to My Heart or both. Maybe I shouldn't become a demonstrator and just buy the stamps anyways. LOL I don't know what to do..

Giveaway from Crafty Couture

Yesterday I was searching for CTMH consultants in my area. But it seems that many of them doesn't have any workshops. I'm like looking for someone who is very active, has a blog I can follow, and can give me ideas on making cards. LOL I'm very picky on choosing a demonstrator/consultant.

Long story short I landed on this blog and was lucky to find her. Because she's giving away gifts for free to 20 people. The first 15 to comment (must be a follower) will automatically get the gift. What a great way to test out the product before buying. For more information about the giveaway please see her blog Crafty Couture

LOL I was looking at her blogs all night. It looks like she does more that just card making. I don't remember how I found her but I know I search through Google. I was searching for CTMH consultants in my area who has a blog that I can follow.

Well that's it for today..I think I been blogging about so much today.

Card Making Kits

I was up all night last night looking into those card making kits from demonstrators, website, etc. I can't decide which one to go to. I looked into I think it was called CardMaker Kit of the Month Club. Each month the kits looks interesting and sometimes it's not. If I join now the first kit is 50% off plus I get 5 free gifts (a versatile embossing and piercing tool with interchangeable tips, reusable acrylic "Created by ..." stamp, a handy stamp block, a bone folder, a zippered storage pouch. Decided not to go with them even if the free gifts.

I check out The Stamp of Life and it looked very interesting and also Paper Wishes...I don't know I still can't choose..LOL I don't want to end joining every club I see, that's interesting..

They're still those Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and Close to My Heart Consultants.

UPDATE: Apr. 21, 2010 11:23PM PST
I looked into The {Stamps} of Life Club!. It's actually a stamp club. You'll get new set of stamps every month. As part of the club you get Limited Edition and Exclusive Club Member Stamps (not available to the public), also storage sheet organizers three times a year..LOL..I just love clear stamps. Awwww man Unity Stamp Co. also has a kit of the month club. I like their stamps too!!!

Yay Package Arrived

I finally got my Stampin' Up! stuff..It's only cardstock, ribbons and ink and I got all excited about it LOL.

Such pretty colors.. Rose Red, Sahara Sand and Bermuda Bay. The one is the back is a designer paper called Thoroughly Modern.

Just by looking at the my stuff makes me want to get more supplies..LOL.. I'm also looking into getting Close to My Heart stuff. I really like their My Acrylix Stamp Sets. Ahhhh so many things to buy so little money :(

Let the Fun Begin

So excited to start my first card-making project. LOL I don't know what to do first. Maybe I should start something simple.

So excited, my package from Stampin' Up will arrive later today I can't wait. I wanted to try out the Eastern Bloom Class to Go thing. So I still have like a list of stuff to get. I'll have to get everything else very slowly..I don't want to be spending to much money all at the same time. LOL But I know myself if I see something I know I will definitely buy it.

Well I'll probably be posting my first card-making/craft project later on today.

Why the Nyte Stamper

For the past two weeks I've been buying so much stamping supplies for me to get started making cards, tags, gifts, etc. Shhhhh don't tell my boyfriend that..LOL I spend so much money trying to get everything I need. But I should slow down because our auto service/repair shop isn't doing to good.

I bought so much stamps and have no ink..LOL..I'm not really sure what to get anyways.. I just keep buying clear stamps that I like. I don't have paper or ink. Well last week I ordered card stocks, ink and ribbons from my Stampin' Up Demonstrator. Well right now I have Sizzix Big Shot (pink/black), Lifestyle Crafts Letterpress Kit, Martha Stewart Heat Tool, several clear stamps from various brands and two wood mount stamp sets from Stampin' Up!

I just watched a video on YouTube to see what I need to get started in stamping and card-making. The lady said all you need is S.I.P. Which stands for Stamps, Ink and Paper. LOL. A good way to remember the basic stuff you need.

Well I kind of got an idea what I need anyways. I been looking at some card ideas from people on Splitcoaststampers. It tells you what supplies they use on their projects

Oh and why the name Nyte Stamper LOL. Mommy during the day and stamper at night LOL. I can only do my card project at night while my kids sleep. It's hard to watch/care for them and make cards at the same time. It's different if they're older but they're not. One is three and one is 3 months. Both are born on January :) and I was hoping my daughter (3 month old) would be born on either Christmas or New Years that would be an awesome gift LOL
