Altered Notebook

My first altered project - The Greeting Farm's Altered Notebook Contest.

Just bought a blank notebook at my local Target. Should of bought more.. this is so much fun LOL. I wanted this to be kind of plain and simple. Don't want to add to much stuff on it. I colored her with Copic Markers. Suppose to be pink but I don't know how it came out red.

Copic Markers - R22, R20, C7, C9, E000, E00
Stamp - Hope and Grace - The Greeting Farm
Cardstock - Black - The Paper Company, White - Wausau Papers

Heat Embossing

Today I bought the VersaMark Watermark Pad because I was getting annoyed with how my stamped images are coming out.

Few days ago I decided to test out my Martha Stewart heat tool that I bought months ago. Long story short was disappointment. I waste so many paper just trying heat emboss. LOL was getting frustrated because it's like when pouring embossing powder t doesn't stick.. When I heat emboss the image its.. Well I don't know... Its like I didn't put much powder or something.. As shown below (image)

Well long story short I just found out by experimenting it was just the Martha Stewart Embossing Stamp pad.. It's not really sticky enough to hold the powder I guess.. And I have like two of those.. Wasted money :) Should of bought the VersaMark in the FIRST place LOL

Look at the difference between the two. I used the Snowman from the Inkadinkado Holiday Filigree set. Ive used the same embossing powder on both image which is from Martha Stewart. On the left I used the MS Embossing Stamp Pad and on the right I was the VersaMark Watermark Pad..

Now it's time to start making those Christmas cards LOL

My New Stamps & Die Arrived

OMG I'm like spending so much money on crafting supplies LOL.. I got a ton of clear / rubber stamps, which is either I hardly or never used. LOL on Friday I just bought a clear stamp with the matching die from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Just came in the mail today.. this one I'm actually going to use because Christmas is just around the corner. I'm going to make the Christmas cards this year for our customers at North American Motors.

I'm super excited to get started. I think I will make several cards and see how it turns out.

I wanted to get the butterfly ones also... It looks so cute.. I should save so money first.. I so NEED a job.. LOL..

Scrapbook U + Michaels Run

Exhausted LOL.. I just came back from Scrapbook U, Michaels, Marshalls and Ross. La La Land Crafts just had a stamp release event at Scrapbook so I went. Came home with a bunch of goodies. Met the artists of La La Land Crafts, both signed couple of my stamps :) While I was there I also made a Happy Birthday card. I can't remeber which stamp image they used.. I just put it together.. I'll probably color it in tomorrow..

Stamps I go while there (total of 6 stamps) :

Hubby wasn't done riding (mountain biking) So.. After the event I decided to go to Michaels to pass the time.. I was just going to look but saw these cute holiday stamps that were a dollar so I grabbed a few.. then all of a sudden I grabbed a whole bunch of other things LOL..

So what did I end up getting LOL.. A red and green embossing powder, stickles, tray, 3 mini holiday stamps, 1 large holiday stamp from Inkadinkado called Holiday Filigree (there's actually 2 sheets with 16 clear stamps all together), also bought a stamp cleaning pad (finally - been wanting to get one), a VersaMarker monochromatic pen and a scrapbook case. Should of got 1 more and a stackable case. It was 50% off and it was the last day too :( Well anyways I'll be busy making Christmas cards.. I know it's early for that but I wanted to see how it turns out. If it looks good.. I going to be VERY busy during the month of December.. I'll be making the cards this year for our clients instead of ordering them :)
